Thanks to your generous contributions to our PTA, we are able to do amazing things for our school. Let's take a look at some recent accomplishments. |
| | BHE PTA loves being able to spoil our well-deserved Staff, all thanks to your membership donations and involvement. We appreciate our Staff and our PTA families!!STAFF APPRECIATIONOur PTA Staff Appreciation Committee has collected hundreds of individually-wrapped snacks and drinks for our hard-working staff through your kind donations to Stock the Staff Workroom. Our goal is to stock the workroom each Friday.
Mrs. Howard perfectly describes this initiative in her own complimentary words,
"Y'all have no idea how much it means to us to roll through the mail room and find snacks and drinks! It's like a mini-lottery!" Please help us to keep the workroom stocked with drinks and snacks - specifically 12-packs of sodas/sparking water (Coke and Diet Coke are Staff favorites) and individually-wrapped snacks. Great options can be found at Costco, Sam's Club and Amazon. Donations can be dropped-off or shipped directly to the home of our Staff Appreciation Chair, Meredith Jenkinson, at 250 River Oak Drive in Grassy Creek or Kara Pressley at 323 Bridgetown Pass in Hibben. Contact Meredith at chasemeredith@hotmail.com with questions.
BHE Staff was also treated to a delicious boxed luncheon in January from Verde, which they absolutely devoured and asked us to extend their thanks to our families.
We will be holding raffles during Staff Appreciation Week. If you would like to donate a gift card worth $50 for an upcoming raffle, please contact Meredith through her email above.
MINI-GRANTS FOR TEACHERSOur PTA provides mini-grants to help fund special requests from teachers to improve their classrooms or fund a special project. In January, BHE PTA replaced the 16 year-old portable sound system that Coach J uses during PE class. It was time to ditch the old system held together with rubber bands in favor of a brand new sound system to keep the tunes playing during capture the flag, human bowling, and all of the team building exercises taking place in PE. Coach J is pumped about the new equipment! |
