 | | THE GREAT BHE CLOSET PURGEPlanning to clean out closets or minimalize in the New Year? We have the perfect way to recycle used items, while also earning money for our school!
The BHE Green Team has partnered with The Clothes and Shoes Recycling Bin to help the environment. RECYCLE, REUSE and REPURPOSE used clothing, shoes, and textiles - in any condition.
Items that can be donated include:
• Clothing (shirts, pants, dresses, coats, undergarments, etc.) • Footwear (shoes and socks) • Accessories (hats, belts, ties, scarves) • Handbags (purses, backpacks, wallets, luggage, briefcases) • Linens (towels, sheets, blankets, tablecloths)

 | | SCHOOL UNIFORM AND MERCHANDISE UPDATEOur uniform inventory has recently been replenished, so we are completely stocked with all styles and sizes. We also have limited merchandise available from the Oyster Roast and Crustaceans for Education fundraisers - shirts, koozies and oyster knives can be purchased through our site.  | | SYLVAN LEARNING SPIRIT FUNDRAISERFor a limited time, our local Sylvan Learning has offered a payback fundraiser donating $25 for each BHE student who undergoes an assessment and an additional $25 for those who enroll in one of their learning programs. Thanks to your generous contributions to our PTA, we are able to do amazing things for our school. Let's take a look at some recent accomplishments. |
 | | FUNDRAISERS AND SPIRIT NIGHTSWe held three Spirit Nights in December through Cupcake DownSouth, Moe's Southwest Grill, and Moonlight Theatres - with several hundred dollars coming back to our school.
As always, thank you for supporting our fundraisers and our Partners through our Spirit Nights. We have many more coming up!
Also, our Annual Online Auction is coming up in March and we're actively seeking tax-deductible donations of services, products, destinations, etc. from individuals, families, and local businesses. Businesses or individuals who donate will receive multiple exposures to over 500 households at BHE through the auction! If you would like to donate or help secure donations for this committee, please contact Kara Pressley at bellehallauction@gmail.com. |

 | | STAFF APPRECIATIONOur PTA Staff Appreciation Committee has collected hundreds of individually-wrapped snacks and drinks for our hard-working staff through your kind donations to Stock the Staff Workroom. Our goal is to stock the workroom each Friday. We are always in need of drinks and snacks - specifically 12-packs of sodas/sparking water and individually-wrapped snacks. Great options can be found at Costco, Sam's Club and Amazon. Please drop-off or ship directly to the home of our Staff Appreciation Chair, Meredith Jenkinson, at 250 River Oak Drive in Grassy Creek or Kara Pressley at 323 Bridgetown Pass in Hibben. Our annual Casserole Dash to treat around one hundred BHE Staff members (including cafeteria and bus employees) with casseroles to take home to eat over Winter Break was a complete success.
The Casserole Dash was such a hit with our Staff, that Principal Conklin sent this supportive note to the PTA,
"It was so fun to see and chat with so many BHE staff members collecting their casseroles! To a person, we love it and recognize the magnitude of this gracious initiative. You are BHE pride!"
We couldn't agree more! We appreciate all of the families who sponsored casseroles for our deserving staff.
Each family who purchased a casserole was entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card to be applied toward a meal package from Healthy Meals Charleston. Congratulations to BHE parent Hilary Rieck for winning this raffle!
Mrs. Boggs was the winner of a gift card to Urban Nirvana in November's Staff Appreciation Raffle. If you would like to donate a gift card worth $50 for an upcoming raffle, please contact Meredith Jenkinson through her email above.
PTA will sponsor boxed lunches for staff from Verde on January 22. Your PTA donations will cover this treat.
Mark your calendars: Staff Appreciation Week will be held February 16-19. Details will be shared closer to those dates.
